WWII German Panzerjager 'Jagdtiger' SdKfz 186, Fruhe Produktion Model Kit 1/35Tamiya
The Sd. Kfz. 186, Panzerjager "Jagdtiger" was born out of a need for a heavy tank destroyer after the Weremacht was defeated at Stalingrad. They needed a vehicle that could take out targets out to 3 kilometers. Two prototypes were developed, one by Henschel and one by Porsche. Each prototype featured different suspension and running gear. The 75 ton vehicle featured a 128mm Pak 44 L/55 gun. 80 Jagdtiger's were produced, 70 of which were produced with the Henschel suspension.
